Homemade Yum Yum Sauce

This condiment became popular as a Japanese Steakhouse staple, but now you can make it at home! You’re going to want to pour this sauce on everything.

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoons


  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ¾ tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 ½ tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp water


  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a small mixing bowl. Serve and enjoy!

  • You can sub apple cider vinegar for the rice vinegar if you’d like 
  • If you like spicy food, you can also add hot sauce to this recipe
  • To make the sauce thinner, you can add more water. If you want a thicker sauce, don’t add as much water as the recipe calls for.
