Pepian de Pollo

The national dish of Guatemala is made with pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, roma tomatoes, chiles, and chicken. You will love this taste of Guatemala!

– chicken breasts – pumpkin seeds – sesame seeds – cinnamon stick – corn tortillas – roma tomatoes – white onion – chile pasilla – chile guaque – achiote – cilantro

Boil the chicken (and reserve the broth!)

Char and toast up all the ingredients.

Including the tortillas and chiles.

The tomatoes with the skins on should be charred to.

Grind up the cinnamon stick.

Prepare the sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds in the food processor before adding the rest of the ingredients.

Bring the sauce to a boil, then simmer it for 15 minutes. Let the chicken warm through and serve with some avocado slices!
