AREPA RECIPE FROM COLOMBIA

Arepas are a delicious, warm Colombian dish that are easy to grab and go and can be customized to your liking. These toasty little pockets of dough make an excellent breakfast, snack, or can be stuffed with cheese and meat for a quick lunch.

INGREDIENTS – White cornmeal – Salt – Warm water – Mozzarella cheese – Butter

Mix the dough.

Use your hands to combine the ingredients well. 

Form your arepas. 

Press an arepa ball into a 1/2" thick patty. Add to the heated skillet on medium-low heat. 

Enjoy as is or slit an arepa in half and add your favorite toppings!
