The black beans cook in the Instant Pot alongside cumin, oregano, and more delightful spices. Soon enough you’ll have a bowl of delicious black beans, a staple in any Cuban cuisine!

Olive oil Black beans Sweet onion Green pepper Oregano Cumin  Paprika Salt Broth Bay leaves Sugar Cilantro  Lime juice

Saute the peppers and onion in olive oil in the instant pot. 

Add the seasonings to the sofrito. 

Prepare to cook the beans by adding the broth, sugar, beans or bay leaves and setting the pot to cook. Set to cook for 45 minutes. 

Once it's naturally released for 15 minutes and then garnish with cilantro and lime juice.
