Why IP Shrimp?

Here's a 20 minute meal complete with pasta, shrimp, and a delicious (slightly spicy) sauce! Bang Bang Shrimp is a popular appetizer at a classic chain restaurant. This meal takes the best flavors of that dish, but brings it up a notch by adding pasta and cooking it quickly in the Instant Pot.

01

Make the Shrimp - Add the shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper. Saute the shrimp until they turn pink. Set aside.

02

Cook the Noodles - Break the noodles in half so that they can all fit flat in the Instant Pot. Add the noodles with the chicken broth. Cook on HIGH for 8 minutes.

Quick Release

03

When the timer is done, perform a quick release. There may be some liquid left in the pot. This is okay!

Make the Sauce

04

In a small bowl, whisk the Bang Bang Shrimp Sauce ingredients separately.

Combine the ingredients

04

Add the sauce and the shrimp to the noodles. Stir until everything is evenly coated. Enjoy!

This recipe does not call for deep frying the shrimp. If you would like to do so, dip the shrimp in buttermilk and then cornstarch. Add a few inches of canola oil to a pan and heat to 375 degrees.

TIPS

If you’re like me and aren’t a big fan of spicy food, you can edit this recipe and use less sriracha for a spiciness that works for you.
