Rubber Hugger: The Best Way to Keep Your Sheets Tucked In

Matt and I are… *drumroll please* going to be moving soon! Yes, moving… Together! EEKK!

Which means I have been on the lookout for exciting new furniture, decorations, and general home necessities that we can put into our brand new adult apartment! I’ve had so much fun adding unique and useful products to my Amazon cart, especially right before the holidays (are you reading this, mom?).

A few weeks ago I found a gadget that I couldn’t even wait until moving to purchase, and I have been loving it ever since.

    A New Product I Love

I’ve always had a problem with the fitted sheets on my bed coming untucked around the corners. Does this happen to anyone else?  Every morning I wake up and the sheets have come off of the corner of my bed and I’m left sleeping on my mattress cover… It is so annoying!

I always just thought that this was a problem I’d have to live with. You know… wake up in the morning, brush your teeth, take a shower, tuck in the fitted sheets again. All part of the routine.

But a few weeks ago, I discovered something amazingly simple that completely solved my problem: my Rubber Hugger!

    What is a Rubber Hugger?

The Rubber Hugger is a large band that you wrap around the edge of your mattress. Then, each time you make the bed, you tuck the sheets into the band, which holds them nice and snug and keeps them from popping off the corners of the mattress.

My sheets seriously haven’t come untucked since installing the band *sings the highest praises*.

Even better, if you’re someone that likes to be snuggled up, all cozy bed (like me), you can even tuck the top sheet and blanket of your bedding into the Rubber Hugger as well.

The best part is that the comforter will always cover up the band, meaning that you make life a whole lot easier without sacrificing the aesthetic of your room.

How to Install the Rubber Hugger

Installing the Rubber Hugger is incredibly easy, and took Matt and I a total of 30 seconds. To install, we each stood at a top corner of the bed and wrapped the band around them. We then walked the band down to the end of the bed, and wrapped it around the bottom corners. Viola! Easy as pie.

The band can also be installed with just one person, though I’d reckon it might take a full minute instead of 30 seconds 😉

How it Compares Against Other Options

Before choosing the Rubber Hugger, there were a few other products I looked at that offered similar solutions. There were clips and straps and even buttons, but it all seemed like so much work.

Unlike a lot of other solutions out there, this band doesn’t have to be reinstalled each time you change your sheets! Instead, you can keep it on the mattress and simply tuck in your fresh sheets every time.

I love when I can eliminate those little inconveniences in life, so finding this fun, affordable, and simple product really felt like hitting the jackpot. Matt and I cannot WAIT to install this band in our new apartment, but until then, I’ll be tucked in and cozy in my bed at home 😉
